PDFtiny uses a neural segmentation model (RMBG-1.4) compiled to WebAssembly (ONNX Runtime Web), which runs entirely inside your browser. The AI processes your image in local RAM — your photo is never sent to any server.
Can I change the background to white for passport or PAN card photos?
Yes. After removing the background, select "White Background" in the output options to replace the transparent area with white. This is required for most government ID and exam photo submissions.
Does the background remover work on product photos and e-commerce images?
Yes. The AI model is optimized for both person cutouts (portraits, passport photos) and object cutouts (product photography, logos, items). Sharp edges are maintained for clean white background product shots.
What image formats are supported?
